I'm Alexandria, an Illustrator based in Hertfordshire, UK.
BA (Hons) Illustration Graduate, Cambridge School of Art (2025).
I experiment with mixed media materials, bold colour combinations, and mark-making. Subjects that interest me include: the human form, themes of self-discovery, identity, and feminism, and depicting emotions in the body. I am also fascinated by child-like, playful clowns and circuses. I bring the theme of 'identity' to my work on clowns through the idea of clowning and clown personas - how emotions can be expressed through costume and makeup.
Most commonly I draw using gouache paint, polychromos, ink, and embroidery. I have found a love for creating functional and wearable art, tactile pieces that can be treasured as gifts.
Areas of illustration - Fashion customisation, illustrated merchandise, textiles, conceptual.
